Bay Area Hobby Shop Guide

The Bay Area features dozens of hobby stores, big and small, selling plastic models and hobby supplies.
Old hands may know every model shop in the area, but those joining or returning to the hobby often cannot find these stores.
IPMS Santa Rosa offers the list below as a guide to hobby shops in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
The club does not endorse any particular shop, but encourages members to support local merchants that often support us (and other IPMS chapters).
IPMS USA also provides members with a list of hobby shops, but you must request the list by mail.

They also sell R/C vehicles, especially cars and off-road vehicles.

The basement of Berkeley Ace Hardware looks like the model shop you occasionally visit in your dreams.
The owner regularly buys collections, and the shop features a very large selection of both current and rare kits in all categories.
You will find paints, hobby supplies, some decals, some etch, and some references.
The store also sells many railroad items.

HobbyTown Petaluma very actively supports many local clubs that meet in the building and regularly hosts special events for yound and old hobbyists.
