Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 WalkaroundLocation: U.S. Army Aviation Museum, Fort Rucker, Alabama Date: June 1, 2008 Commentary: Doug Dropeskey Photographer: Doug Dropeskey The Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5 (Scout Experimental 5) was a British biplane fighter aircraft of the First World War. Although a few S.E.5s reached the Western Front before the Sopwith Camel, engine manufacturing problems prevented widespread use until well into 1918. You can find more information about this aircraft in the Wikipedia. For more information about the U.S. Army Aviation Museum, please visit their website.
