Fokker D.VI by Hal SanfordThe Eduard 1/48th scale Fokker D.VI caught Hal's attention because it offered a chance to build a model that is almost completely covered by decals. The pale blue fuselage band is the only major painted surface. Hal built his D.VI essentially out of the box. The kit includes all the lozenge decals, white metal, photo etched details and film for the instrument dials. Hal reports that the kit was a bit of challenge. Like many short run Czech kits, it lacks locating pins and holes for the struts. Hal's only additions were a Bare Metal foil firewall, Aeromaster rib tapes and .001" diameter stainless steel wire for the rigging. Overall, he's very happy with the results and is ready to tackle more WWI aircraft. Album (select a picture to view at full size): Page 1 Page 1 All photographs copyright by photographer.
