IPMS Seattle is my old stomping grounds and I stay in touch with the gang up there (I even still pay my dues!) so it was a pleasure when a family trip coincided with their 2008 Spring Show. Held at the Renton Community Center on April 19, the event attracted over 700 models despite the snow. (It's always nice to have a reminder of why I moved.)
I was struck by the diversity - even eccentricity - of their modeling interests. Take a look at these photos and judge for yourself.

There was a sound track of the aircraft being pre-flighted and the engine started. This was co-ordinated with the nav and cockpit lights turning on and the propeller turning. | |||
