About Our Theme
"History" is commonly thought of as simply events that took place in the past, remote and dead. However, the term "history" also applies to real objects in the present, that represent those events. In the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark", the villain Belloq says, "We are just passing through history. But, the Ark is history!"As we build a model, we are literally "Making History" - even if only in miniature. Not only do we create a replica of an historical object, we also cannot help but learn about its design, its purpose, its heroes and their achievements. In short, we once again bring that piece of history back to life.
