This is the F7U Cutlass destined for the Hornet Museum. It has a LONG way to
go. The skin of the Cutlass was an early form of composit structure. It was
a laminate of two thin aluminum sheets bonded to a phenolic honeycomb core.
Unfortunately, it has not stood the test of time. Most of the panels have
delaminated and look like they have dry rot.
