2007 Contributer of the Year, Doug Dropeskey
For 2007, the board honors Doug Dropeskey as Contributor of the Year. Doug officially joined IPMS Santa Rosa on January 1, 2007, having attended regular and board meetings from August of 2006. In February of 2007, Doug downloaded the majority of the IPMS Santa Rosa website and began creating new pages for Hobby Expo 2007, presenting them as a surpise to board members the same month. In late February of 2007 he was given the keys to the website and immediately began a complete overhaul, ultimately adding many new features and resources. When Chris Zanella left for Japan in February of 2007, Doug stepped in to record and photograph club meetings for the website. He was made official website manager in March of 2007, and continues to serve in that position under the command of elected board members. Though the website he now acts as the club historian, collecting pictures and information, old and new, and presenting it for everyone.
Doug also actively participated in club and board meetings in 2007, generally helping out behind the scenes from March on.
Presedent John Admire presented the Contributer of the Year award to Doug at the 2007 Christmas party. Doug was genuinely surprised, and extends thanks to everyone in the club.
